Traditional Nomadic Culture
For over 3,000 years, Mongolian nomads have roamed the grasslands, searching for the best pastures and campsites. This traditional lifestyle is facilitated by the ger, a portable home that can be easily assembled and disassembled.
The nomadic people transport their gers on horses and camels as they follow the seasons, seeking optimal grazing conditions for their livestock. The Cashmere is collected during the spring molting season when the goats naturally shed their winter coat. Then, the cashmere undergoes other stages of processing such as sorting, scouring, dehairing, spinning, weaving or knitting before it becomes a luxurious garment.
